Gay Gugulethu
IAM created the first and only gay and lesbian shelter in South Africa outside of Cape Town, which you can visit.  Located in the vibrant  township of Gugulethu, iThemba Lam provides temporary housing for LGBTs in crisis.

iThemba Lam also serves as a central location from which to educate the community and clergy in the Western Cape about LGBTI issues, and brings a pointed reminder of the presence of gays and lesbians within the township.

Guided walking tours through all the above mentioned townships can be arranged. Visitors can be sure of a warm and African welcome in the spirit of Ubuntu. (a traditional pub).
Lion and Rhino Encounters
This tour gives you an opportunity for a close encounter with lions. From cubs to white lions, hyenas to wild dogs, you can get your picture taken with a cub. Wild fun! An alternative is to view safari on horseback.

De Wild Cheetah Research Centre
Go for a guided tour, where breeding programs of cheetah and Cape hunting dogs have been in operation.  The tour coincides with feeding time.
